𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴?
It probably has to be one of the most frustrating things. You lose, you gain, lose, gain, and it’s just a vicious cycle.
Imagine you don’t have to diet and you just work with your body and not go through this yo-yo rollercoaster!
The only time you should really be in a slight calorie deficit to lose weight is during your 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲. Your cortisol is lower so you can handle more “stress” and your metabolism slows down slightly.
During your 𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 you should really be on maintenance calories as your body is getting ready to shed that uterine lining which is a very energy dense process and your hormones start declining to trigger off your period.
So if you drop calories too low, your body isn’t going to feel safe, your cortisol will rise (which is already slightly higher in the luteal phase) and now your body is going to “hold on” to what you’re trying to let go!
Once you start working with your cycle, you will notice this happens naturally as you will begin to understand the signals your body is giving you, it really is magical!✨
