It probably has to be one of the most frustrating things. You lose, you gain, lose, gain, and itโ€™s just a vicious cycle.โฃ

Imagine you donโ€™t have to diet and you just work with your body and not go through this yo-yo rollercoaster!โฃ

The only time you should really be in a slight calorie deficit to lose weight is during your ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—ฝ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฒ. Your cortisol is lower so you can handle more โ€œstressโ€ and your metabolism slows down slightly.โฃ

During your ๐—น๐˜‚๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฝ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฒ you should really be on maintenance calories as your body is getting ready to shed that uterine lining which is a very energy dense process and your hormones start declining to trigger off your period. โฃ

So if you drop calories too low, your body isnโ€™t going to feel safe, your cortisol will rise (which is already slightly higher in the luteal phase) and now your body is going to โ€œhold onโ€ to what youโ€™re trying to let go! โฃ

Once you start working with your cycle, you will notice this happens naturally as you will begin to understand the signals your body is giving you, it really is magical!โœจโฃ
