My face every time I hear the word "Keto"

It’s like the power going out and the generator turning on in your house as emergency. It’ll keep things going for a little while, but is never meant to be a long-term before it comes crumbling down!⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Also, you will be very sad and moody. Shame. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

So, what can you start implementing now:⁣⁣

- If you’ve been on a low carb diet, SLOWLY start incorporating carbs back each week⁣⁣. It could look like 15-20g each week for example or even every 2 weeks depending on where you are starting from.

- Carbs= whole food sources not processed carbs like cereals/pastries/carb junk food, you get the point. Think more potatoes (both kinds), squashes, veggies, grains, legumes etc. ⁣⁣

- You can eat processed carbs, but first get your body at a stage where it can handle these hits. Remember this is the exception here and there, not your foundational base!

- Carbs + protein = Jasmine & Aladdin, perfect match. ⁣⁣

- Pair starchy carbs with non-starchy carbs like a potato + zucchini ⁣⁣

- Reduce dietary fat to 15-25%. When you eat too much fat you block your cells, glucose cant get in, hello insulin resistance. This doesn’t mean CUT OUT fats all together, no no, we need them for heart health!

- Bye bye vegetable oils!

- Walk after your meals, this helps the muscle take in the glucose.⁣⁣

- Don’t listen to dicks who tell you not to eat carbs⁣⁣

Don't deprive your body of it's main energy source, find your carb tolerance and see what works for you!
